Dear Dr. Vinny,
I found a wine bottle with the label printed upside down. Could it be valuable?
I know there is the famous example of the "Inverted Jenny" postage stamp, a misprinted stamp with an upside-down airplane on it, mint-condition versions of which have sold for more than $1 million at auction. Unfortunately, the same doesn’t apply to wine bottles. Printing errors (and even winemaker signatures) on a label don’t typically add value. But you can always contact the producer to see if they’d be interested in buying back the bottle from you for their own curiosity or collection.
