In 2012, Bordeaux experienced its second difficult growing season in a row, ending with a shortened ripening window caused by harvesttime rains. Yet vintners who placed a premium on viticulture by cutting crop to ensure full, even ripening managed to produce some excellent, ageworthy wines. Wine Spectator's James Molesworth explains.
