Wine Spectator's Kim Marcus explains that the 2015 and 2017 vintages lead the pack for the best picks of wines from Argentina as of late. But the country has had its challenges with the addition of a volatile and unpredictable economy and a series of cool, wet vintages since 2014. With careful work in the vineyards helping to promote quality in 2015, yields falling dramatically in 2016 with rot spreading in many parcels and then the 2017 vintage seeing a return to drier weather, 2015 and 2017 are the strongest and quality-wise of recent vintages.
